De verhalen vertellen hoe hij op jonge leeftijd stierf, maar door Sint Dageus weer ten leven zou zijn gewekt. Deze zelfde Dageus († 6e eeuw; feest 18 augustus) plaatste zichzelf en zijn monniken onder zijn leiding, toen hij eenmaal aartsbisschop van Cashel was geworden.
